PROSPECTOR
Pytheas, a young and talented prospector, on the hunt to retrieve the lost relic of Zaron.
Set forth on this journey of harnessing crystal energies and dramatically punching your way through enemies with empowered attacks. Will you be able to help Pytheas escape with both his life and treasure from this accursed cave?
The Concept
The Prospector is where players will encounter various types of crystals that can be activated by punching.
Each crystal has a unique property and some can event react with one another. Furthermore, the bigger crystals may even grant Pytheas abilities that he can use to gain an edge in difficult situations.
My Contributions
Team Size of 11
Role: Design Lead & VFX Champion
Ensured that the overall direction and creative vision of the game suit the theme.
Established the core game loop.
Planned the design roadmap for each milestone.
Conducted regular design reviews to ensure that the puzzles designed are well-suited with the core mechanics.
Utilise Unity3D to deliver the concept prior to the custom engine.
Spearheaded and curated the game feedback and polish.
Designed the game's narrative and story.
Assisted in designing levels for the game.
Doubled as a lighting artist and populated lights to set the mood and ambience for the various levels.
Arranged playtest sessions to garner feedback for improvement.
